Frequently asked questions
Which Instagram account do I need?
A business or creator account. You can switch a personal account for free in the Instagram app (Settings → Account type and tools). You do not need a Facebook page.
Does really everyone who comments get a DM?
Almost everyone. Instagram allows one automatic message per comment, within 7 days. Followers who have turned off message requests from people they don’t know can’t receive a DM; you’ll see those in your overview.
Is this allowed by Instagram?
Yes. We use Meta’s official Instagram API (“private replies”), the same route the big tools use. We only send a message when someone comments with your keyword themselves.
What happens to my followers’ data?
We only store what’s necessary (comment ID, the keyword and whether the DM was sent) and erase it automatically after the retention period you choose. Everything is stored in the EU. A Data Processing Agreement is included as standard.
Can I cancel monthly?
Yes. You can cancel at any time in your dashboard; your subscription then runs until the end of the paid period.
What if the connection with Instagram expires?
We renew the connection automatically. If that fails, you’ll get an email and a notification in the dashboard; comments that come in meanwhile will still be answered as soon as you reconnect.
Which languages does it work in?
The dashboard is available in Dutch, English, German, French, Spanish and Portuguese. You write your DMs yourself, so they can be in any language.
